Curious about Quartier Papier?

We can already tell you this

  • The Papeteries de Saventhem (as the factory was called at the end of the 19th century) mainly produced newsprint from rags and straw

  • The paper mill supplied almost all newspapers in Brussels by rail

  • It was one of the largest employers in the region, with 155 employees earning their living there in 1892

  • After a thorough modernisation, the paper mill became home to VIER and VIJFtv for eleven years

  • It is now a trendy location, the perfect launch pad for CURIosA
