Curious about Quartier Papier?
We can already tell you this
The Papeteries de Saventhem (as the factory was called at the end of the 19th century) mainly produced newsprint from rags and straw
The paper mill supplied almost all newspapers in Brussels by rail
It was one of the largest employers in the region, with 155 employees earning their living there in 1892
After a thorough modernisation, the paper mill became home to VIER and VIJFtv for eleven years
It is now a trendy location, the perfect launch pad for CURIosA
