I started my career at a law firm in Germany after completing a special degree in Tübingen and Düsseldorf (Juristenprogramm des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes) in the period 1988-1990.

Subsequently, I joined the Brussels bar and simultaneously taught as an assistant at the Institute for employment law at the KU Leuven.

From 1996 to 1999, I was counsel at the law firm of Hogan and Hartson LLP (now Hogan & Lovells) in charge of the local employment law practice advising mostly international clients on Belgian employment law. From 1999 to 2011, I headed the employment law practice of VWEW advocaten.

I joined Curia in 2011 to co-head the employment law department.

I have extensive experience in advising international clients and I am fluent in Dutch, English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.

I aim to address the core needs of my clients and have been ranked as an individual lawyer in several international guides such as the Legal 500 and the Chambers and Partners.
