Jan Aerden
It is with great passion that I assist our clients in legal proceedings regarding employment law topics. Furthermore, I give advice in the framework of the correct implementation of labour regulations.
I joined Curia in September 2014. At that moment, I started my career as a member of the Brussels bar.
Since then, I have gained extensive experience in the most diverse aspects of employment and social security law, ranging from counselling regarding individual and collective labour relations to litigation in employment disputes, with a particular interest in dismissal and discrimination cases, as well as conflicts at the workplace.
Furthermore, I have developed specific expertise in civil service legislation, with a focus on the statutory rights of staff members in regional and local governments. I assist governments as well as civil servants in, amongst others, disciplinary procedures, disputes regarding the applicable salary scales and the specific domain of well-being at work.
On a regular basis, I participate in the organisation of seminars, with a focus on the latest developments in legislation and jurisprudence.
